Everything needed will be provided upon arriving to American Crane School's NCCCO mobile crane operator certification course. However, it is required that students bring their own personal protection equipment including a hard hat and boots for their hands-on crane training and NCCCO practical exams in the field.

You will need to declare that you have taken a physical exam and passed a drug test when you sign your NCCCO application. Proof of physical exam and drug test will not be collected.

No, you do not need a driver's license to attend American Crane School's crane operator certification program. However, your current or future employer may require that you have a valid driver's license as part of their employment process.

A small non-refundable deposit in the amount of $500 will be due at the time of sign up. The remaining course fees will be due when you arrive to class the first day of class. Additionally, students may call in to make payments before the start of class. Employers who send one or more of their employees to ACS's crane operator certification course will be set up on a Net 30 billing cycle.
To become a NCCCO certified crane operator you must successfully pass the NCCCO written and practical exams. This process can take as few as 3 days, depending on what crane operator school you go to for your preparatory training. Upon successful completion of these NCCCO exams, you can expect to receive your certification card in the mail within a few weeks. To become NCCCO certified you must take the necessary written exams and practical exams. Upon successfully passing these exams, you will obtain your certification.
The NCCCO crane operator certification is good for five years from the date the candidate passes their exams. We encourage students to enroll anytime within their last year of certification to prevent any lapses in certification. After successfully passing your recertification exams, NCCCO will add an additional 5 years onto your original expiration date.

A NCCCO Certification is not required. However, NCCCO is the industry leader in certification for crane operators and is recognized nationwide. In fact, some employers may only accept NCCCO certification. Although, It's important to remember that OSHA's Final Rule specifies that operators within the construction industry must be certified.
Times vary although you can expect to receive your certification card in the mail within 3 to 5 weeks from the date you successfully passed your written and practical exams. You may also download the MyCCO App to receive your results faster and digitally.

Absolutely! We can invoice your company directly to pay the fees associated with your course. When enrolling, indicate on the application that your company will be paying for your course. This will allow us to send your employer an invoice.

If your certification has expired for any length of time, NCCCO requires that you retest as a brand new candidate. This means you will have to take the NCCCO written and practical exams.

That depends on which package you purchase. When you attend our 3-day crane operator certification course, you will receive a 20 minute familiarization period on each crane prior to your NCCCO practical exams. Additional training packages are sold separately for this course. However, when you enroll in our 5-day beginner crane bundle, you will receive 16 hours of field operations with up to 8 hours of practice time.
