Step 1: Apply for GI Bill® Benefits

  • Go to VA.gov/education
  • Complete VA Form 22-1990 (or 22-1990e if you’re a dependent using transferred benefits).
  • If you already used the GI Bill before, you may not need to reapply — just skip to Step 2.

Step 2: Receive Your Certificate of Eligibility (COE) through you VA.gov account

Step 3: Attend course

  • Pay directly or select a financing option.
  • We will send you a receipt for your courses’ expenses (training and testing).

Step 4: Submit receipt and apply for reimbursement (Chapter 33 and 35)

“Exam fees are administered by NCCCO, a separate VA-approved organization, and may change. Any discrepancy between listed fees and the actual VA reimbursement will be handled between the student and the VA/NCCCO.”
